To mark the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, we are sharing this important documentary from Jo Cox Memorial Grant holders, MIFUMI.

By talking directly to community leaders, survivors of domestic violence and rights activists, the documentary addresses the cherished but highly controversial cultural practice of Bride Price and its side effects. These include child marriage, domestic violence and poverty.

MIFUMI is the largest women’s rights agency operating at grassroots level in Uganda, enabling the provision of focused, community based and complete range of support services for survivors of violence and abuse.
