Applying for an Impact grant

Applying for an Impact grant is a 2-staged process:

  1. the submission of a concept note
  2. a full application (if an organisation is successful)

All applicants will need to firstly:

  • register online to apply
  • complete an eligibility assessment
  • complete a concept note

All applications must be submitted online. Applications sent via email or post will not be accepted.

Before starting your application please read the eligibility page.

Then visit our guidance page and read all of the guidance available on how to design your application. We particularly encourage you to read the lessons learnt from the previous UK Aid Direct funding round.

To support applicants through the application process we will be updating our Frequently Asked Questions.

Please refer to the news page on our website for the latest information. We also encourage applicants to follow the UK Aid Direct social media channels, Twitter (opens in a new window) and LinkedIn (opens in a new window).

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate that they

  • aim to reach the most vulnerable or marginalised in society
  • contribute towards the Global Goals
  • consider DFID's wider strategic objectives
  • support the goals of UK Aid Direct

All applications are assessed/reviewed by an independent Technical Review Panel.
